My Journey

Welcome to Yoga by Viraj. I'm a dedicated yoga instructor trained at the University of Patanjali, where I deepened my understanding of traditional yogic practices and philosophy. My journey with yoga began as a personal practice before evolving into a passion for teaching and sharing these transformative techniques with others.

Currently, I divide my time between teaching online yoga classes and volunteering at a unique school in the Himalayas near Teri Garhwal. This school focuses on holistic child development, where I help teach music, meditation, and a practical, nature-connected approach to learning.

My teaching philosophy centers on the integration of mind, body, and breath. I believe yoga is not just physical exercise but a comprehensive practice for holistic wellness.

The Himalayan Influence

Living in the Himalayas has profoundly shaped my yoga practice and teaching style. The serene environment of Anjani Sen village near Teri Garhwal provides the perfect backdrop for deep meditation and spiritual growth.

The mountains teach patience and perseverance, while the abundant natural beauty — like the seasonal Burans flowers that bloom in spring with their unique sweet-sour taste — reminds us of nature's cycles and the importance of living in harmony with our environment.

This Himalayan wisdom infuses my online classes, bringing a touch of mountain tranquility to students wherever they may be practicing.

My Teaching Vision

While I offer live online classes every morning (6:30-7:30 AM) and evening (4:00-5:00 PM), I understand these times may not work for everyone. That's why I also share recorded sessions and specialized content addressing specific health concerns, like hyperacidity, to help more people benefit from yoga's healing power.

Why I Teach

As part of a small community of teachers working with Anand Sir's 20-year vision for holistic education, I've witnessed the transformative power of mindfulness practices. My goal is to create a similar sense of community through my online yoga classes, where students can experience:
